Text Mining & Semantic Technology Running in the Cloud – Welcome to “S4″ from Ontotext
Ontotext S4, The Self Service Semantic Suite was released today by Ontotext. Now the same enterprise hardened text mining, Linked Data management and semantic analysis of structured and unstructured data is available to start-ups and mid-size businesses at a fraction of the cost of enterprise technology. Organizations that do not have resources to evaluate and prototype enterprise semantic approaches for data management can use S4 since there is no need for on premise hardware provisioning and software licenses.
Text mining and semantic analysis allow organizations to extract valuable insights from free flowing text. S4 allows developers to quickly and easily build semantic applications in minutes using simple RESTful APIs. These applications can be deployed either in the cloud or on premise. “This is the first time the mid-market has had access to a complete enterprise resilient semantic technology suite in the cloud”, reports Marin Dimitrov, CTO of Ontotext. “We have included text mining technology, Linked Open Data, development tools and a powerful RDF triplestore – the same technology that has been deployed by organizations like the BBC, AstraZenca, The Getty Trust, The Financial Times and many others. With reliable access to Freebase, GeoNames and DBpedia, developers can enrich their data with billions of useful facts.”
S4 offers a full suite of text analytics and Linked Data management in the cloud. You can analyze news, social media, biomedical documents and query Linked Data knowledge graphs. You can also create your own RDF knowledge graphs using GraphDB™.
S4 – The Self Service Semantic Suite is low cost, on demand and pay-as-you-go providing affordable, easy access to companies of any size. The RDF triplestore included with S4 is GraphDB™ which is widely known for scalability and query performance. GraphDB™ is the only triplestore that performs inferencing at scale. Users realize improved query speed, data availability and accurate analysis.
You can test various text mining processing services for S4 and access to Linked Open Data on the S4 website. Then you can register for a developer account and start using S4 right away. There is detailed developer documentation and code samples in various programming languages.
S4 currently offers each developer a free usage tier within the following limits:
- Text mining for news, life sciences and social media up to 250 MB of data processed monthly.
- Linked Open Data (LOD) access to Freebase, DbPedia and GeoNames via FactForge for 5,000 SPARQL queries monthly.
